1995 - '97 Bull Market

This is a weekly chart of the 1995-97 bull market. This bull run started virtually the first week of 1995 and never looked back. It broke above the range it held for virtually all of 1994 and quickly set record highs. The S&P 500 ended 1994 at 459.27 and gained 34.1% to rest at 615.93 by the end of 1995. 1996 was more volatile, but by the end of the year, the S&P 500 was at 740.14, a gain of 20.2%. So far 1997 has been more of the same. After a very brief downturn in March and April, the market resumed its powerful rally.
